LocknLock Thermos

This LocknLock thermos is the new addition to the house, thanks to the supporters program. It looks stylish and serves the purpose. I tested it by pouring hot water into it and was excited to find that the thermos retained the heat even after 8 hours. That is more than enough number of hours for me when I travel.

Parts at a glance. There is a grey cover which can also be used as a cup. 

Can you see the small red flap in the picture? You can lift it up and pour water out. It seems to be very convenient.

LocknLock Pitcher(s) with Travel Lid (Priced at $7.65 in Clearance)

LocknLock recently added these colorful pitchers to their clearance section. For the price of $7.65 you get two pitchers and each one comes with a regular lid and also a travel lid. No more messes when you are travelling.

They have a slim design and I have been using the smaller one for few months now. It fits in the refrigerator door and there is absolutely no leaks. Now that is a big relief for me given the countless times we had to clean the kitchen because our old pitcher leaked.

I own the small pitcher and this is the test I did (This is with the regular lid with the pour spout). Can you see that there is absolutely no water leaking? In fact I kept shaking it and jamming it while taking the picture and there was absolutely no leak.

LocknLock Slender Container with Two-Way Flip Top

I am not new to LocknLock flip top containers, but these two-way flip tops are the recent addition to my pantry and I find these to be very convenient. The containers are slender and perfect in the pantry. I have 4 of these and totally love them. LocknLock containers usually have latches on all four sides, but the slender ones have the latches only on two sides and that makes it even more convenient to open. They are also airtight and overall I am loving these containers.

Their slim design makes it easy to grab from the pantry. 

The opening on one side is big.

And the other side is smaller. You can pour stuff out of this small opening without a whole bunch falling out. Even my 3 yr old can use this without making a mess.

Another thing I love is the ribbed sides. That gives a grip when taking from the pantry.

Yippee, the LocknLock supporters program items arrived recently and I am all excited. I had few on my wish list and we received those as well. Let us see the first item. This is the Fajita Set which basically has 2 round containers.

More on the set now. One container has 7 dividers. 6 of those measure 0.88 cup and the center one measures 0.76 cup. The divided container is perfect for a spice kit that is present in pretty much every Indian kitchen. A neat way to organize whole spices or spice powders. All the spices are in one place and since the container is air tight, the spices remain fresh.

There is also a cute spoon which comes with the divided container. It holds 5cc (1 tsp) and it sits on the lid. As you can see from the pictures, there is an inner flat lid which has a floral pattern and keeps the spices from mixing up.

I have the same divided container in blue color and see how my seasoning ingredients are all organized.

The other container is the same size as the divided container, but it does not have the dividers. This is perfect to store tortillas, Indian flat bread, pizza or papad. I have one of this and have been using it to store papads because I had issues with insects getting into the papads. Since the box is air-tight, nothing gets in and the papads stay fresh.

LocknLock Mixing Bowls Feedback

I had posted about these mixing bowls earlier. After using it for a couple of months, I am back to write more about it. When I got them I thought they were pretty small and will be of not much use, but I was totally wrong. It looks like I have been grabbing these bowls for pretty much anything in the kitchen. In fact, I have used this bowl in a lot of posts and I have shown a few here.

Their size makes it perfect to use for mixing dry ingredients or for making small quantities of dough. I use these to prepare batter most of the time. They also look good in the pictures for the blog. They are sturdy and dishwasher safe.
