Another one in my lunch box series. I bought this for my 3 year old as she loves pink. This is a bento style box with two layers. One layer has a partition and that is useful to store snacks or fruits. It also comes with a water bottle and an eco bag. The bag is compact and fits the box and the bottle. My LocknLock Kitchen - Cute Lunchboxes

School is going to start in a month in many parts of US and I thought this might be a good time to introduce everybody to the cute LocknLock lunch boxes which I have accumulated over the past few months. Spinach Pesto Sandwich with Veggie Pattie

Today was a long day at work and I was in no mood to make anything elaborate for dinner. I decided to make mac & cheese for the kids so I could finish up my other chores while they eat. Not a sound from the two while they finished up the dinner .. wish all nights were like this where I don't have to constantly keep telling them to stop watching TV and to eat. They love any form of pasta.

Then K was home and said he had to leave in 20 minutes. The only thing which I could possibly think of making was a sandwich with boca veggie pattie. I had made spinach pesto earlier in the week and replaced cheese with this pesto and voila we had a nice tasty burger for dinner.

Then the usual cleaning chores and I was glad to hit the bed finally.

LocknLock Lunchbox Series - Silby Ceramic

A warm welcome to the cute lunch box from LocknLock I had been eyeing to buy for months. The big question that remains is whether this is for my 3 yr old or me :). As soon as it arrived she was walking around with it asking whether it was for her. As the picture shows it comes with 3 small silby ceramic bowls with lids, a sippy cup and an insulated bag. LocknLock Rice Bin

After storing rice in the bag it came in for years, I finally bought them their very own containers :). These containers from LocknLock are perfect and hold 20 pounds of rice. Like any Indian household, I have 2 to 3 varieties of rice. Sona masoori that is our staple, basmati for those fragrant pulaos and biriyanis and idli rice to make adais and idlis. So I bought 3 of those boxes and I have to say that these are huge that I had to rearrange my pantry to fit these.

We don't have to open the box fully to get the rice out. The flip top lid makes it very easy to use the box. It comes with a 8 oz measuring cup. There is a groove in front to pull the box. Now with 20 pounds of rice the box is going to be really heavy, so don't plan on moving it around a lot when it is full.

Every morning I am happy to be using the box rather than digging through the bag to get the rice. Everything looks neat and organized. These boxes can be used to store anything from flour to rice.

LocknLock Spice Kit

It is every little girl's dream to own a spice kit. I have seen my grandma use aluminium spice kits and my mom use stainless steel ones. I started off with a stainless steel spice kit and it served me well for almost 10 yrs. When I saw this spice kit at LocknLock website I loved it and decided to retire my stainless steel kit. This one from LocknLock is airtight, colorful and the spoon can be attached to the tray. I love that feature as I don't have to run around looking for a spoon during the busy morning hours.

This is my favorite LocknLock product and what better way to kick start by talking about my favorite.

There are 7 compartments and they keep things organized. It also looks great in the pantry. I have had quite a few friends ask me about it and I have gotten my friends hooked on it too. These come in two sizes and of course I have both of them :). Smaller one is for daily use spices and the bigger one is for spices like fenugreek, fennel, etc. which are not used on a daily basis.
